Haven't blogged in a while. My wife and children have been away for almost a month visiting family and friends up in PA, so, now that they are back I have been spending time with them. I have been busy at work as well. I just shot some VR tours of a 64 Viking for Scott Rhein, a broker at HMY Yacht Sales. It's a nice change to do something a little different instead of just the normal everyday still photos and use some really cool technology. VR photography is really cool and a lot of fun to shoot. Sometimes very frustrating but still cool!
Check out the virtual reality tours of the 64 Viking enclosed bridge.
64 Viking EB Salon
64 Viking EB Master Stateroom
64 Viking EB Forward Stateroom
64 Viking EB Engine Room
Not to shabby. For a cool 2.7 million you could be cruising around in this awesome machine.
I'll take 2!

2008 HMY Boat Harbour Billfish Blast photos
The photos from the 2008 Billfish Blast are now on http://www.yachtpics.com/ and soon to be on http://www.hmy.com/.
Yachtworld banner ad
I shot the first ever home page banner ad on www.yachtworld.com/ for HMY Yacht Sales. The photo will run for one week this month and a new photo will be needed next month and the next and so on.... The photo turned out surprisingly well considering the conditions it was shot under. As I was setting the shoot up for the following week (Monday deadline) I was told that the captain would be in the area and could move the boat that day (Friday). Of course this would be at 2 o'clock in the afternoon instead of the 5:30/6 o'clock I would have preferred. Great! First ever ad photo, deadline looming and I am shooting high noon harsh sunlight with no chance for a reshoot. As the captian was getting into position it started to rain, there goes the deadline! We decided to wait a while and the rain stopped. Still kind of gray and overcast, I was able to get some usable shots. A few touch ups here and there and you have the finished photo on the homepage.

2008 HMY Billfish Blast. Abacos, Bahamas
I am back from shooting the HMY Billfish Blast in the Abacos. A great tournament and a lot of fun. Here are a few shots.

Abaco Beach Resort's beach

Memorial Day Fireworks kick off the Blast!

HMY Tournament Boat "Miss Costa" lit up at the dock.

Eric from Salt Water Videos and I getting ready to takeoff for some aerial shots. Shooting from a helicopter is the coolest!

Aerial view of the "Miss Costa" a 54 Viking busting thru the six foot seas.

Fishbone,Dalton and Christy on the 61 Viking "Cowpoke" with custom made marlin balloon hats. Karl Koppertop is the mastermind behind the marlin hats, he is amazing and can make anything out of balloons.
